I've enjoyed the many online discussions provoked by Bitcoin lately but it might be tricky to organize your entire conference around it.
On the other hand, I wonder if Bitcoin and related currency projects are even more relevant in the European context considering the on-going development of multinational currencies (and the interdependencies that emerge as a result). Maybe you could expand outward a bit to look at successes and failures at creating sustainable businesses around free/open source projects? This could be inclusive of Bitcoin -- but also Flattr? Arduino seems like a great starting point...
