Being a Gitorious enthusiast in the past, my mind has changed. Gitorious is a centralized service as well – I can’t use my account anywhere else nor do I know that they actually run the code they purportedly do because I don’t control the server. Also, everyone is saying »github could block you out or shut down any minute« (for a similar reason why Linus developed git in the first place) – but so can Gitorious. In fact, they have more downtime and more annoyances than Github.
