That's true.  But they do have 2 official plugins that handle managing
images and any other files. They're called MCFileManager and
MCImageManager respectively, and they're right on the home page.  They
have versions for PHP and .NET.  Saying that TinyMCE "doesn't have"
image upload is like saying jQuery doesn't have Accordion menus.
Also, TinyMCE can be set to XHTML compliant mode and can prevent the
use of any tag or attrib you don't want.

Not that I'm in love with TinyMCE or anything, but I used it in a
project recently and was impressed. And I'm a little disappointed both
by the lack of understanding of it here, as well as the FUD being
spread about it.  I think we DO need an editor of TinyMCE's caliber
based on jQuery to speed CMS uptake (which I think it definitely would
do). But let's not bash the good work of others just for fun.
