One of the outcomes of the recent Executive Council meeting [1] was a great deal of thinking and discussion about the Mission and Vision for the newly-minted Carpentries. In case you didn't see the blog post from Monday, the EC has a draft of these statements and we are looking for feedback (RFC = request for comment):

Please leave comments / reactions on the github issues. Deadline for feedback is August 31 (at midnight in whatever timezone you live). There will also be an upcoming RFC for the new bylaws, so keep your eye out for that in the next few weeks.
