Hi everyone, A lot of my attention recently has been focused on the question of how to discuss generative AI tools for coding in Data Carpentry, Library Carpentry and Software Carpentry lessons. Many of you have participated in discussions on this topic, both on Slack and in themed Community Discussion Sessions in November, January, and February (with one more still to come on 25 March).
I have now opened a pull request with my first draft of new content discussing generative AI <https://github.com/swcarpentry/python-novice-gapminder/pull/695> for coding on the Software Carpentry Plotting and Programming with Python lesson repository. Please give me your feedback, ideally as reviews and comments on the pull request itself but replies here/sent directly to tobyhod...@carpentries.org are also okay e.g. if you cannot/are not comfortable working in GitHub. When this pull request has been finalised and merged, we will use it as a basis for equivalent changes across the other core Data Carpentry, Library Carpentry, and Software Carpentry lessons. Thanks for everything you do for The Carpentries community!
