Joyent strives to provide quick relief via important security fixes as well; both for software in the base SmartOS image, and in the binary package sets we provide through pkgsrc. > OmniOS has the critical xntp fix already, but I have not heard about a fix > for OpenIndiana yet. We will have an upgraded NTP available in SmartOS soon. Additionally, the NTP configuration we generate at boot is intentionally quite conservative: all recent SmartOS platforms are, provided you use the in-box configuration mechanism, not vulnerable to the recent batch of issues reported by the NTP project anyway.
