I agree. However, I think that getting it all buildable by something that
resembles a mere mortal who is starting on 134, at all, is paramount.

Maybe you missunderstand me: I vote to avoid adding incorrect code as

possible. Sparec related problems could be avoided _iff_ someone runs
compilations on Sparc. If such a compilation unveils problems, they should
