For folks looking for tiny logos, the original artist supplied them to me, both
with and without the illumos name. So let's not bother with creating new ones
of those -- the ones with "powered by" are interesting for folks looking to
indicate that. For now, I'd like to minimize the spread of the logo to other
uses until we have the foundation set up which can review (and if necessary
enforce) proper usage.

Put another way: if you want to use the "Powered by" versions of these logos,
for websites, or marketing materials, or whatever, please feel free (as long as
the "powered by" statement is not a lie -- don't stick it on a web server
running on IIS please! :-)

If you want to use the logo for other things, please run it by me for now.
I'll probably approve any reasonable use, but as this is part of the mark of
illumos I have an interest in making sure that its use is consistent with goals
of the project.

This also particularly means, please don't set up a store to sell swag with the
logo, etc. I want to do that eventually, but in a way that ensures that the
proceeds go directly back to illumos and the community -- hence the need for
the foundation -- and I don't' want to have to worry about competing use of the
logo, etc.

Thanks everyone for your understanding.
