Well, I did not really study or use AI yet, so maybe it is already all there. Back in JumpStart days there was a spinoff project UberJS which allowed pre-burnt CDs to download portions of config and files for particular boxes from the net and/or from several profiles stored on the CD for "standalone" installs, perhaps something similar can be easily had in AI as well - I just do not know.
