This week Intel's Xeon Phi co-processor/CPU was finally announced
(http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/11/12/intel_xeon_phi_coprocessor_launch/).
It is an x86 chip with a large number of relatively wimpy cores (e.g.
62 cores) but with enhanced math support.
It seems that Linux boots and runs on the co-processor card.
What is the possibilities that Illumos can support Xeon Phi as a
co-processor, or even usefully boot and run natively on Xeon Phi?
