Ok, I tried to manually edit index file to installed.
I tried both detaching and booting but I have this:
sonicle@xstreamserver:/etc/zones# zoneadm -z xstreamdev detach
ERROR: multiple active datasets.
sonicle@xstreamserver:/etc/zones# zoneadm -z xstreamdev boot
zone 'xstreamdev': ERROR: multiple active datasets.
zone 'xstreamdev':
zoneadm: zone 'xstreamdev': call to zoneadmd failed
the zfs filesystems for the zones are these:
data/sonicle/zones/xstreamdev 4.40G 830G 41.1K
/data/sonicle/zones/xstreamdev
data/sonicle/zones/xstreamdev/ROOT 4.40G 830G 37.5K legacy
data/sonicle/zones/xstreamdev/ROOT/zbe 4.40G 830G 3.43G legacy
data/sonicle/zones/xstreamdev/ROOT/zbe-1 1.79K 830G 3.43G legacy
so I have two boot environments, maybe it cannot say which one to use?

Re: [discuss] cloned zone, marked as incomplete
BTW....may I try to manually edit the /etc/zones/index file and set the zone as
installed?
Maybe it was just left incomplete bye the clone fail...

[discuss] cloned zone, marked as incomplete
Hi,
I had to make some tests on a zone, so I halted it to clone it.
After doing the passages to clone it, the clone command showed some errors,
failing the clone
(I lost the output, but it was something like srczone/ROOT or srczone/ROOT/be
is already in use,
as if it was actually acting on the wrong fs?!).
The result is that the source zone is now marked as incomplete.
Any idea what happened?
How can I restore the zone to an installed state (as I hope it actually is!)?
Will uninstall/install will lose all my zone system configuration (e.g. pkgs
installed after creation)?
Luckily, all the zone data were on a separate zfs filesystem assigned to the
zone....
Here are the commands I ran to clone:
pfexec zonecfg -z srczone export -f srcclone.cfg
pfexec vi srcclone.cfg [edited set zonepath=/data/sonicle/zones/srcclone]
pfexec zonecfg -z srcclone -f srcclone.cfg
pfexec zoneadm -z srcclone clone srsczone
