Hi,

I have an issue with the use of an IntelĀ® Ethernet Converged Network Adapter
X520-DA2 10Gb nic .

This nic is not installed corrected in OI 151a7. After having posted some
messages to that list I was directed to this list to notify you of the
possibility of a bug.

What happens:
Installed this nic and booted system (OS - oi151a7), intel mainboard : Intel
S2600CP4

When yhe kernel has booted I see the following message:
Notice: unsupported 64-bit prefetch memory on pci-pci bridge [0/3/2] 64 bits
address space

Commands to test:
scanpci -v | grep Intel :

Intel Corporation 82599EB 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+ Network Connection
CardVendor 0x8086 card 0x0003 (Intel Corporation, Ethernet Server Adapter
X520-2)
Intel Corporation 82599EB 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+ Network Connection
CardVendor 0x8086 card 0x0003 (Intel Corporation, Ethernet Server Adapter
X520-2)

prtconf -v | grep ixgb ==> nothing, no output

dladm show-phys ==> no ixgb to be seen
LINK MEDIA STATE SPEED DUPLEX DEVICE
igb0 Ethernet up 1000 full igb0
igb1 Ethernet up 1000 full igb1
igb2 Ethernet up 1000 full igb2
igb3 Ethernet up 1000 full igb3

Dmesg and var/adm/messages give the following:

ixgbe: [ID 611667 kern.warning] WARNING: ixgbe0: Failed to map device registers

It seems to me that the driver is not working correctly in OI151a7. The same
nic however does work flawlessly in an OI151a5 system.

maybe sombody can help me out with this or advise me a 10Gb nic which does work
in a7?

Rgds,

Randy
