I like to thank you guy's, you are very great smart and nice people, I
had a lot of fun and learned much more also making personal contact
works much beter for me.
It was the first time for me on Fosdem and came specially for illumos
also get my illumos T-shirt where I'm very proud on :)
But missed the baseball cap ....
The thing what I noticed can be wrong, but what i find pitty is that it
seems there is not quite a lot of communication between other FOSS projects.
What I mean by that take FSFE for example they do a good job but what
are they meaning for illumos ?
I think we have to get more communicate with each other so that projects
can be integrated ....
We also spoke with Nextcloud about this for working more close with
illumos, they also agree ....
Today we had a very nice evening working with the guy's of passman, also
to them we said this over illumos and they also said maybe we have to
open our repo to illumos ....
In my opinion I think that's the way to go.
I can be wrong about this and my apologize if something I said isn't be
quite correct .
I still have to learn a lot to get a proper vision how IT works.
But thanks to everyone for making this wonderfull community and
hopefully i meet you guy's next year !!!

Overall I think it went pretty well. Some extra thoughts:
The T-shirts were brilliant. It makes it obvious who we are, not only
at the
table but as we're in talks or visiting other tables.
We ran out of English leaflets, and it needs to be refreshed anyway.
I felt my Tribblix minicards worked out well; the sticker books less
so. We
ought to have something for each of the distros.
I tried to be out front of the booth most of the time. It helps to
have people
out front - there's only really space for 2 or 3 people to get to the
table itself.
Standing helps you to be at the same level as visitors rather than
sitting; one
improvement would be for whoever is out front to have a stock of
leaflets or
stickers.
What makes good swag? More stickers, cards, postcards, leaflets. More
from the other distros (try and make each distro the same, though - as
in having the same *type* of swag, with maybe illumos having something
different). Badges? Pens probably make a very good item. Although maybe
not concentrate on swag too much - the place looked like a swarm of
locusts
had gone past mid-morning Saturday.
Might be nice to be in "uniform" at the Delirium event. That's pretty
noisy
though; I could hardly hear to make myself think.
We could try getting a talk into the BSD or distributions devrooms, or a
lightning talk. These need planning well ahead of time, the deadlines and
schedules tend to be fairly early. There are also a couple of rooms
available
for BoF sessions we could take advantage of.
Someone else mentioned the idea of having a proper monitor on the table.
What to put on it though?
We had a few Nexenta sheets. Any other projects (openzfs) or vendors
(Delphix) we could get literature from to show how widely illumos is used?
Any other feedback, comments, or suggestion for improvement are
appreciated.
