Yes, Xorg on Solaris still uses HAL for input device discovery and hotplug
notification, since we haven't ported the replacement udev interfaces to it,
so I keep maintaining the HAL code in Xorg upstream and block attempts to remove

should be mostly up-to-date for our fork of HAL - the absolute latest code would
