To address the main point of Matthew's post. I would suspect that the
conference itself will be well over 75% list participants. So I
suggest, something a little tighter than just an IxDA gathering (which
well the conference itself is). Maybe gather under your interest
areas: Web, Mobile, Hardware, education, research, theory, defining it
(my personal favorite).

Also, for anyone who registered before yesterday, you might not know
this but we have a proto-social networking site. This would be a great
place to find people you'd want to meet and greet and track before,
during and after the conference.

I call it "proto" because well, we are having our service provider
"Crowdvine", build in more services to make the experience of the
social network even better. So if you don't see anything too exciting
now, sign-up, and keep coming back. Further the social network is not
just for attendees of the conference. We want to invite non-conference
attendees to be a part of the social network and find your own ways to
gain value. We know you all can't be there physically, but we
definitely feel the conference will be a tremendous value to the
entire IxDA community. That being said, COME!!! Savannah is amazing,
and there is really NOTHING like being there.

Ok, the URL: http://interaction08.crowdvine.com/.
