The 2007 Salary Survey by the Information Architecture Institute (http://iainstitute.org/en/learn/research/salary_survey_2007.php) doesn't exactly say so, but it does state: "The modal earning group is US$100,000-109,999, representing 10.8% of all respondents, a significantly larger percentage of respondents than any other earning category for this question. The mean salary was approximately $86,000." "User Experience Designer" was the third most entered answer in the job titles category.
