Equally....there is a nice short little article on how the iPhone came to be in the same issue of Wired. Though the article is only 4-5 pages long, it does offer some interesting insights in what it took to bring the device to market.

The title is unfortunate, but there are some nuggets about how materials, behaviors, laws, and business issues impact system effectiveness and efficiency and emotions.
