This is not a question just something that popped up in my mind. If
you find it silly please ignore :)

I like the similarity in the sound of "interaction" and "In Traction".

When you lookup "traction" on Wikipedia, the first three definitions
are quiet interesting:

# Traction (engineering), the mechanical force used to achieve motion
# Railway electric traction, the use of electric motors to propel rail cars
# Traction (orthopedics), in orthopedic medicine, the set of
mechanisms for straightening broken bones or relieving pressure on the
skeletal system

Sometimes I feel as an interaction designer I am always 'in traction'.
Sometimes positive sometimes negative.
- The positive forces that keep me in motion are not electrical or
mechanical but they are things like user needs. These force are strong
and always keeps me going in search of user friendly and intuitive
solutions.
- The negative forces are things like timeline pressures. When you
want to do so much good but you have so little time, always stretched
;)

Oh and of course the third one :), Traction (orthopedics), I like to
see this one as traction we as interaction designers can apply to
straighten some of the 'broken bones' in either our organization or
client or our own team by making our need felt through actions and by
"creating insurgency" as Alan puts it.

have a great day!
