I keep forgetting to charge up my mp3 player. But if I did have access to music, it will vary. Mozart or anything classical is good when I need to focus. When I need to wake up, a strong latin beat helps get me moving, although this can be dangerous as I might get up and start dancing and when my dancing legs get going, there is no stopping me.
And so alternative rock or metal helps me with energy as well as the worst that can happen is I start bopping my head, rarely will I get up and start slamming into people. I won't do hip hop or dance because of the lyrics being too repetitive and therefore catchy. Possibly house music (origins in Chicago), but that also has the danger of the lyrics catching me off guard and I start singing them or I start dancing. So anything dance-able or sing-able is out for work. After work, another story altogether. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
