Europe is loaded with good IxD programs: In the Netherlands there is Delft, Einhoven and Utrecht. In Sweden there is Malmo and Umea In Denmark there is CIID In Italy there is Domus, Rome, and I think Venice In Germany there is Pottsdam In UK there is RCA
And to Allison's point this does not include the myriad of HCI programs out there around the world. >From a European perspective, there seems to be a much stronger/cleaner separation between HCI and IxD in that IxD seems to be taught as a design discipline/practice and HCI is taught as a research/academic program. I'm sure there is a ton of gray; but in the US the design programs in HCI are not nearly as strong, or if they do exist they are usually part of other programs like IIT/ID and CCA. CMU and KU have separate and distinct IxD programs. -- dave . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
