My apologies... I was probably a bit unclear. A few people sent me links on where I could obtain these fonts by actually having to purchase them. I already know about those avenues.
But I don't want to buy these fonts for every single machine in my design studio, costing me upwards of $10,000 and more as I hire more people. I want them released for free. Why? We don't use them because we necessarily like them. In fact, I think 2/3 of them a bit clunky and would never use them on 90% of my work. We use them because Microsoft is basically asking us to in order to design good looking products for Vista. Why on earth I should pay for the privilege of making Microsoft look better by using the fonts that they explicitly designed to make their OS look better in comparison to Apple is utterly beyond me. -- Andrei Herasimchuk Principal, Involution Studios innovating the digital world e.
