I know that for Minority Report it wasn't one, part was Dale Herigstad at www.Schematic.com, and a company based out of MIT grads that actually has working glove/gestural tech...primarily for military because it takes up whole rooms. In Star Trek series it was science advisors. As a futurist/innovator/inventor, it's been increasingly clear to me that using media is one way of tilting the earth so that what is 'that could never happen' to 'when's that going to be coming out?'.
