I've participated in polls on LiveJournal as part of social networking. I don't think that they're one-way at all. After you complete the poll, you are able to see the current results. Also, as the polls are posted as part of a blog entry, everyone can comment underneath and discuss the results. I've seen polls in LiveJournal, EZboard, and just about every other place I log into online. I've always thought that they were a usual feature of online social networking.
Of course, my opinion is probably biased since LJ was the first social networking I ever did, and I started my blog there when I was 17. -Christine ________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the Interaction Design Association (IxDA)!
