Comsys, a leading IT consulting services organization, has an immediately available 6+ month contract opening in Alpharetta, GA, for a User Experience/User Interface Professional.
Candidate must be able to travel up to 25%. Candidate will be required to travel 25% to domestic sites including but not limited to Seattle, California, Chicago, etc. Candidate will be gone for 1 week at a time. Qualifications: User Experience Research Skills Experience developing research plans, research protocols, and participant screeners Experience moderating usability sessions Effective data collection and analysis methods for usability studies (both quantitative and qualitative) Experience translating user research findings into design solutions Information Architecture Skills Ability to distill and organize large amounts of complex information into simple, useful, and usable designs Ability to apply modular and systematic approaches to user experience design General Skills Strong writing, verbal and overall communication skills. Excellent critical thinking and complex problem solving skills Thorough approach to all work; a willingness to go beyond minimum requirements. Ability to collaborate with those in other disciplines (graphic design, development, quality control) Self-motivation, analytical ability, solution-focused creativity, and strong organization ski Responsibilities: User Experience Research 60% Plan and conduct usability research initiatives (including but not limited to lab usability studies, field studies, remote usability testing, concept testing) Select and execute appropriate research methods (direct observation, interview, survey, card sort, etc.) Perform time in motion studies Communicate rational for research and design decisions Information Design/Application design support 40% Apply research findings to designs by creating wireframes, process flows, and other necessary deliverables to communicate designs Support the lead designer in performing information design and content related activities for customer and user-facing systems and communications Design navigation and interaction systems Design nomenclature systems Communicate rationale for design decisions Required Skills Exp (Mos.)
