Hi folks,

We're trying to improve the implementation of 3D secure (Verified by Visa) for a client's site. (3D secure is the additional step during an online purchase when you're brought to your credit card company's site to enter an additional password.) Abandonment rates at this stage of the checkout process are a serious issue, but the Fraud/Security folk within the company have so far trumped our efforts to have 3D secure removed from the checkout process.

Has anyone come across any good examples of a 3D secure implementation? We're trying to find out if it's actually possible to integrate the password-entry step into our client's site so that we don't have to open up a new browser window. Failing that, we want to be as clear as possible with the text on our page to explain what's going to happen.

Any good examples out there would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian Donohue
