Sr. Visual Designer is needed with AMAZING visual and interaction design portfolio and product user interface experience. This will be a fun project for someone who likes to do out of the box work geared towards a hip audience. A strong candidate will get to work on some cutting edge work with a top notch team.
Responsibilities: - Create conceptual designs and suggest product direction based on research findings and visual requirements. - Define the visual design aesthetics, principles and language for a new product line. - Help manage external contractors for a series of new visual designs. - Identify other visual user interface requirements and define design approach. - Create guidelines and design language for communications that express a new brand. - Develop visual design prototypes ranging from comps to interactive mock-ups. - Develop visual interface specifications. - Work with interaction designers to integrate visual and interaction design. - Partner with usability leads to design and observe usability studies. Skills/Experience: -5+ years of web visual design experience and 3+ years working on product user interfaces. - A strong portfolio of work with a mix of online interfaces, websites, and online branding. - Commanding knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign. Must be proficient in Flash, Action Scripting is a plus. - Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, Flash, CSS, etc. - Experience in conceptualizing promotional creative. - Strong layout, typography, color theory, and interaction design skills. - Portfolio must include online interfaces, websites, online branding, and flash work. Employment/Salary: Employment is temporary for roughly 8 weeks, possible temp to perm opportunity. Salary is DOE. Online Portfolio is a must.
