I was doing some research this morning and stumbled upon "The 2050
Project" which was an effort jointly pursued by SFI and the World
Resources Institute.

I haven't dove into Will Wright's past ( to see if Sugarscape was the
basis for Spore), but I did notice on the Spore wikipedia page that they
are using procedural generation.

Has anyone done any prototyping with Sugarscape? It seems that it could be
a powerful forecasting tool for many socio-economic models.
