Hi Sheri,

If the data is already in Excel, and assuming they're not too
complicated, you can ask your users to export them in CSV format (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma-separated_values) and upload the
result to the website.

Google uses this method in their "GMail for your domain" product, in
order to allow admins to upload a spreadsheet with a list of user
accounts that need to be created in one go.

Several web apps also export data in CSV, which can be readily
imported into Excel (again, if your data format is simple enough).

I think you can easily paste an online table into Excel, but I haven't
seen any online table editor on which you can paste something from
Excel.
