Thanks for posting that Dave, it's a well put together presentation.  I've
recently had to go right to this point on a project: we were designing the
solution while the definition of our problem was moving, and it was killing
us.  So we stepped back and re-attacked the problem definition.. that's
where we're at right now, and I'm much happier for it.

The process of simplifying and eliminating features, interactions, etc, is
an important one and I think more needs to be written about good approaches
to doing it.  I've found it to be especially necessary with clients, who are
prone to "this feature would be cool, put it in" thinking.
