Responsibilities - Design the look and feel of the entire consumer experience - Participate in concept development and design ideation - Create visual designs that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including the design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, and user interface elements - Translate user flows, wireframes and mockups into a cohesive set of visual designs - Iterate on designs based on the results of usability testing and team walkthroughs - Create final assets and deliver them to development for incorporation into the final product Qualifications - Solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and current technologies (i.e. DHTML, CSS) - Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator. Flash is a plus, but not required - Strong design skills including screen layouts, information design, and typography, and must have a great eye for detail - Able to develop new approaches to complex design problems and can convey ideas into tangible form - Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross functional team - Ability to articulate design ideas and decisions effectively - Ability to prioritize and manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment - 3+ years experience designing visuals for web-based applications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Digital Media Design or other visual arts Will consider contract, full-time or contract-to-hire candidates.
