SENIOR INTERACTION / UI DESIGNER
FanSnap is the live event ticket search engine for fans. Our mission is to
provide the most comprehensive, accurate, fast and easy-to-use resource for
fans to find the tickets they desire to sports, concerts, and theatre
events.

As the design lead for the company, you'll work closely with folks in
product, engineering, marketing and business development to define and
validate the entire user experience. You'll ensure that the products and
features that we build are and continue to be simple, intuitive and meeting
the needs of our customers.

Our ideal candidate is a live event "fan" (sports, concerts, theatre), and
has formal training in visual design and/or HCI.

Responsibilities

   - Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to guide product
   decision-making and engineering development
   - Define and create site structure, interaction flows, information
   architecture, and conceptual models
   - Define use cases and user "personas"; perform user and task analysis
   - Lead user testing efforts, including analyzing and creating action
   plans based on usability testing, concept testing, surveys and other
   research
   - Manage visual designer(s) to ensure that the site has a consistent look
   and feel, and that the visual design supports site functionality
   - Communicate and collaborate with teams to iterate on the design

Qualifications

   - Excellent UI design skills and an outstanding portfolio of interactive
   projects
   - 5+ years experience in web design, preferably consumer-based
   - Bachelors or Master's degree in Human Factors, HCI, cognitive science,
   graphic design or related field
   - Strong communication skills, and the ability to articulate your vision
   even in the face of disagreement
   - Strong understanding of implementation technologies, and how to design
   within technical limitations
   - Experience with information architecture and presentation of
   information, particularly for Search
   - Leadership to drive project vision to the extended team throughout the
   design process
   - Experience with user research methods used to gather qualitative and
   quantitative data, and ability to translate data into actionable plans
   - Ability to test and iterate design solutions; experience planning,
   conducting, analyzing and reporting formal and informal end-user testing,
   utilizing prototypes (rough drafts and sketches, paper prototypes, working
   prototypes) and live versions
   - Visual design experience and proficiency a plus
