There's been a lovely discussion on T&Cs this week [1]. This got me thinking
about solutions for interstitial pages.

By interstitial pages I mean the kind that are presented to the user during
a goal-based flow [2]; for instance, logging into your online banking and
before you see the account summary. During these pages (which often provide
security or legal assurances) it's often considered a worthwhile exercise by
marketers (though generally not by Ix/IA/Ux people) to place cross-sell
here.

Can anyone provide examples, screen grabs or otherwise of this kind of page
cross-selling. I'm looking for better ways of not interrupting the users'
flow but still making the advertising seem be noticeable and pertinent.

Considerations
- Insisting the user sees it
- Make adding this product/service seem like the default action
- Execution: text-based link, static image or flash banner

Much obliged,
John.
