Actually, that's just Digsby's default location, you can change to
another corner, but I would also like be able to place it anywhere.
Notifications should really be handled in common, like Growl makes
possible on Macs.  Why should we have to configure every app that wants
to get our attention?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the proclivity of IM clients to steal
focus. I have more than once been the victim of this as I was logging in
somewhere, and wound up sending my password over IM.  Their habit of
making noise when buddies log on & off annoys me too.  I can turn that
off, but only for my client, not for everyone around me.  This is
particularly fun when the network goes down & I hear hundreds of doors
slamming.
