Director, User Experience Responsibilities Reporting to the Web Director of Product Development and Innovation and working closely with Product Managers from all CEB Practices, the User Experience (UX) Director will be responsible for leading and growing the User Experience function within the firm. This role will focus primarily on the online channel for our members, partnering with data analytics and design teams. Inclusive in the online platform are the program member Websites, tools and benchmarking products, and ongoing software development efforts to commercialize new product offerings with a goal of building services utilized by key business leaders on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate may also be asked to formulate experience strategy for other services such as webinars, tools, benchmarking products, mobile devices, or internal applications. Serving as the senior-most User Experience expert for the firm, provides leadership on Web initiatives firm-wide, the UX Director will be a champion for Customer Driven Innovations. Specific responsibilities will include: * Overall User Experience leadership of the CEB's Web platforms establishing vision, devising and driving User Experience strategy, and aligning UX initiatives. * Execution of User Research developing Personas through member interviews and/or contextual inquiry, conducting usability testing, card sorting, or other UCD activities to improve the UX of our online products * User Experience Evangelism ensuring CEB business leaders and executives understand the value of UX activities and can measure the financial impact from those activities Qualifications In light of the critically important role the UX Director will play in the company, we seek an outstanding talent who will bring the depth of functional and technical experience along with the personal qualities well suited for the challenge. Specifically, the successful candidate should possess: * Substantial UX experience to include a minimum of 8 years of leadership in UX initiatives, ideally in a B2B web oriented company. A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of user-interface design principle. Knowledge of human factors, user-centered design processes, interaction design guidelines, usability methodologies, industry standards and trends, platform standards. * Substantial online experience ideally in environments that have transformed their business models to embrace the Web as a value-added channel. A background launching innovative Web technologies in traditional publishing environments is ideal. * A general management orientation is critical. The successful candidate must be capable of interacting with internal business customers and firm technology teams and outside providers and partners to identify innovation opportunities.
