I came to IxDA through a link in a recent post by Dries Buyaert, one
of a few people I follow on twitter. I really Iike the design of your
site so I joined the community immediately.

Drupal as a backend helps designers focus on issues at the system
level without worrying too much about underlying plumbing. IMHO, this
is the biggest strength of Drupal.

To a designer the challenge of Drupal is not programming but setting
configurations to match system design and requirement. It is not a
task for programmers working at MySQL/PHP/CSS/JavaScript level. Nor
it can be mastered by a weekend hacker educated by "for dummies
series" books.

Since this is a site about interactive design, it would be great to
see some discussion about Drupal from interactive system point of
view at levels above CSS and AJAX. I could start a new thread on this
if this one is not a proper starting point.

What do you think?
