Another source (who visits here) is Joshua Porter who has a site at bokardo.com/. I saw a talk of his at WebStock here in NZ recently which was about the sign-up process and presented a very interesting perspective that was obvious really but so obvious that many people (myself included) never gave it too much thought before.
