There seems to be a dearth of design patterns, tactics and strategies
for e-commerce. I'm not talking about how to design a tag cloud or
feedback/rating interactions. There isn't much information about
merchandising, elegant ways to provide special offers, product
features, etc. Perhaps with the rise of social networking, it's not
PC (designwise) to design for monetized websites?

LukeW has some good insight in the web form and shopping cart
interactions. But I'd like to see something deeper past the basic
design patterns related to transactional / shopping websites.

Topics I HAVE seen are subscription pages, product details, searches,
registration, progress indicators.

Topics I'd LIKE to see are cross-selling, upselling,
recommendations, personalization, complex transactions, and
progressive disclosure issues related to transactions.

Anyone have any suggestions? thanks
