I was fairly unfamiliar with the Bauhaus movement until I redesigned a web site for a fashion designer that was, herself, inspired by Bauhaus design.
I got a book from Taschen on the subject. I then realized that I was a fan of Bauhaus as well. The final site design for the fashion designer is here: http://barbarawellsstudio.com Inspiration for the web site was further inspired by this site: http://www.bauhaus.de/english/bauhausarchiv/index.htm My designs still retain some of the pure graphic elements inspired by Bauhaus design. See any of my personal sites listed below for more examples. That's how I was inspired by an artistic movement and how it's become apart of my personal style. Good subject, thanks for bringing it up! I might have to blog about this at some point.
