I liked it for the most part. It would be easier to critique it if
the camera didnt pan so quickly. I liked the idea of having multiple
documents and document types represented in one icon, although there
must be some limit to how far you could extend that concept. Same
with the vertically stacked document icons indicating how many
documents were in that group or folder. I dont know if the different
views of the document library would really work that well if you had
thousands or more documents. But I suppose it'd be easy enough to
have a different view that shows a standard tree if needed. The
little icon thing at the top was interesting, although it wasn't
quite clear what the focus of that was. I'm guessing it was some
sort of quick access thingy like gadget bar or something. I
couldn't quite figure out what the point of the dragging and
combining items in the taskbar was for. The animations overall I
thought were pretty good. They appeared to be short enough so that a
user wouldn't get annoyed and turn them off. The switch user screen
was pretty bad design though, I certainly wouldn't want to allow
anyone who wasn't logged on to be able to see a screenshot of my
desktop. And overall it seemed heavily mouse-driven, which could be
an accessibility nightmare. Overall though, I thought there was a
lot of interesting ideas there.
