I would hope car manufacturers realize what this means for their product. I literally only use my in dash car stereo as speakers for my iPhone. Now that developers are free to create turn-by-turn GPS apps and talk to external devices though Bluetooth or USB, I would rather a car have an empty space in my center console where I dock the phone.
I already plan on purchasing the Rev app which allows you to pull OBD-II data from your car effectively turning the iPhone into your instrument cluster. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
