One element that is lacking from all work I've seen to date is the
social aspect. 

Everything is highly functional and task based. As cool as it is to
have a cool niche app (e.g. for real estate), AR's biggest impact
could instead be about our daily lives - the facebook/twitter/iphone
app lives - which is full of networking, fashion, and fun. 

TwittaRound uses a social network in its AR
(http://tinyurl.com/lxqytk), but seems more of a mashup done because
the developers could, rather than something designed with a real
vision.

At TAT we've been playing around with some Social AR concepts for a
little while. We have a concept coming out public this week. I'll
post a follow-up when its live.
