Interesting topic. Since I've been able to choose (thanks to software-based calendars) I've always preferred to start my week on a Monday. I'm a visual thinker, so in my mind, the week is a 5-day chunk followed by a 2-day chunk.
I don't know how universal this is but I find it far easier to grasp immediately what my month looks like if the calendar has Saturday & Sunday next to each other. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
