Interaction South America '09 http://www.interaction-southamerica.org 26.27 and November 28, 2009 Sao Paulo - Brazil CALL FOR PAPERS First Regional Conference on Interaction Design - Interaction South America '09 IMPORTANT DATES (New Dates!) Paper Submission: September 20, 2009 Author notification: 15 October 2009 Paper Due: November 05 of 2009 The event: 26, 27 and November 28, 2009 EVENT The Interaction is in its fifth edition International ( http://interaction.ixda.org/) and the first edition for Latin America, to be held at the Museum of Image and Sound Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 26.27 and November 28, 2009. On November 26 there will be two workshop sessions. The event is a realization of the chapters of IxDA in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Chile and supported by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). Interaction '09 invites South America: 1 - articles that describe original work, submitted only to this event, with conclusive results related to Interaction Design; 2 - multimedia work performers, with creative and scientific results related to the technology of human interaction, and 3 - cases of market with creative and scientific findings related to human interaction technology, solutions and interactive products. OBJECTIVES The objectives of Interaction '09 South America are: - To disseminate the scientific production of research groups linked to educational institutions that work with Interaction Design; - Provide a space for reflection on issues of everyday practice of Interaction Design; - Improving knowledge of matters related to the research programs of graduate studies related to the area; - Stimulate the production both in scientific graduate and post-graduation, encouraging the link with the market; - Disseminate products developed with the approach of multimedia interaction; - Disseminate practical experiences worth recording and discussion in the design area of interaction with the End User. SUBMISSIONS 1 - The papers can be written in English or Portuguese and must not exceed 15 pages. The format for submission, is available for download in http://www.interaction-southamerica.org/autores/formatos/. Submissions will be accepted only in PDF format and must be submitted at: https: / / submissoes.sbc.org.br / IxDA As the review will be blind, the papers should not contain any information of authorship in the header or body text. All submissions will be evaluated by at least 3 members of the scientific committee. 2 - Work multimedia performers should be described in up to 6 pages, following the same format as the model form, describing the performance and the concept involved in the design work as well as multimedia computer resources used. The work will be reviewed by 10 experts of the scientific committee who have autonomy to select the work more interesting and suitable to be presented during the event. 3 - Cases of the market should be described in up to 6 pages, following the same template format articles. The work will be reviewed by 5 experts in the market, more experts from the scientific autonomy with the subject that will select the work more interesting and suitable to be presented at the event. Note: Only those papers will be published in the Annals of Congress (on CD) and printed in a collection to be sold, both with ISBN.
