"Fast Flip is a new reading experience that combines the best
elements of print and online articles. Like a print magazine, Fast
Flip lets you browse sequentially through bundles of recent news,
headlines and popular topics, as well as feeds from individual top
publishers."

I like the addition of recommended and popularity filters, which I
hope spread to other Google products. (hint hint Google Reader)

For me, Flip isn't useful so far. Its thumbnails of full pages
don't convey much information. They're mostly dominated by
illegible text; photos, fonts, and layout noise stand out.

Google might be onto something here -- scanning thumbnails might be
faster than scanning titles and descriptions -- but for this
interface to be useful I wonder if content providers need to up the
size for headlines and images.

What do you think?
