THE JOB We are looking for Visual Designers for Burbank, CA (Greater Los Angeles area) for one of the world’s largest providers of production and post-production services to the motion picture industry, broadcast and cable industry producers, advertising and ancillary home video and DVD markets. This position reports to the VP of the Creative Competence Center within the Advanced Development Center. The Visual Designer will support efforts toward the design and production of prototypes that conform to Thomson business and user requirements for new products and services. The Visual Designer will work with members of the CCC design team, as well as with our product management, engineering, marketing, and QA groups. The candidate has the ability to quickly translate complex information architecture and wireframes into engaging, consumer facing interactive experiences and components. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE Our ideal candidate would have expert knowledge of the interactive design process, hands on command of CS4 design tools including Flash, AS3 scripting, After Effects, XML, HTML, CSS and a strong portfolio of interactive consumer products and services. Candidates must have an intimate understanding of product development processes and methodologies and be adept at working with requirements, specifications, workflow and wireframes.
