-- Situation sketch --
Some clients (as well as some graphic designers) I work with still talk
about "above the fold" real estate. They seem to see this as a somewhat
measurable space (in pixels) and tribute a lot of value to it. Now I know
that with a (Google) search only the top 3-5 results are actually clicked.
And scrolling down to the 100th result on the page is scarce.

-- My questions --
But how does this apply to content sites and/or applications?
Does everything need to be as far to the  top of the page as possible?
And where does the fold start (in pixels, on avarage)?
Do you still design with "the fold" in mind?
