Actually, Flip Kromer at Infochimps does have the title "data farmer" on his 
business cards. Of course, they are a small startup here in Austin and he is 
also the CTO, so I guess he can have whatever title he wants. But I do think 
this is a semi serious title that he chose for himself, as opposed to some of 
the more fanciful titles that some of the other people seem to have.

And this whole concept of "devops" is not really new. There has been a lot of 
crossover and a very fuzzy line between dev & ops for a long time. What does 
seem to be happening more often now is a formal recognition of this overlap, 
and an acceptance of what this means, as opposed to the violent opposition that 
seems to have been more common in the past.
