I will be installing some Bocsh NDC255 dome cameras shortly. They use a standard h.264 video stream and can store a month of video on an internal SD card. I started to look at things like Zoneminder and dedicated DVR boxes, but with the internal storage, it's a no brainer. You can still use zoneminder/dvr if you want to send video to a remote location.
