Brian> I will be installing some Bocsh NDC255 dome cameras shortly. Brian> They use a standard h.264 video stream and can store a month of Brian> video on an internal SD card. I started to look at things like Brian> Zoneminder and dedicated DVR boxes, but with the internal Brian> storage, it's a no brainer. You can still use zoneminder/dvr Brian> if you want to send video to a remote location.
I too will be doing an install of cameras at my $WORK site, but it was all chosen ahead of time to be Toshiba IK-WB16A cameras talking to a dedicated PC. They do have microSD slots, support PoE for power, can zoom, pan, tilt. Support Mic in, Audio out, and what looks likes four inputs for alarms or sensors. Box says they include 16 channel (cameras?) recording software as well. Also says they do motion sensing too. No idea how well they'll work in practice, or how good the low-light is. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
