Well, we aren't a formal profession yet, though someday we hope to be. And, 
then we could enforce our code of ethics. 

Even then, it would require somebody to make a formal complaint that a member 
had received a gift membership (or amount towards) that is to bias or influence 
them, and then for us to investigate and take other appropriate actions as 
defined by our policies/bylaws? 

Right now I don't really see anything in Policies and Bylaws though.... 

Says membership can be terminated for "Failure to meet obligations of 
membership." "...as set out in the Rules (including the payment of dues)...." 
But, can't find what these "Rules" are. 

Though there's "Termination by the Board for cause." "...at the discretion of 
the Board, as set forth in Policies." Though not sure where those Policies are.
